HOW TO CHOOSE A WINE?
In France, you can buy wine in specialized stores but also in supermarkets. In the first one, you will receive the advice of a specialist so it’s easy but in the other ones, you will be alone in front of thousand of bottles. How to choose a good wine? Here some tips:
1. The most expensive are not necessarily the one who will fit your taste.
2. Choose between: red wine, white wine and rosé.
Either by selecting the one you like the most or the one who will fit the most the dish you plan to make (see below for good associations wine/dish).
3. Good bottles start around 5€
4. Do not buy wine in plastic bottle. They are of poor quality.
5. Recognize some brands you have already tasted and that you liked.
The best way to discover wine is to taste.
6. If you want a very good bottle, look on internet beforehand for the best millesimes (meaning date of the product). For instance, we know that Bordeaux from 2009 and 2010 are very good.
7. If you really don’t know anything about wine and feel lost, the “medaille” can help. They don’t show the best bottles but it's for sure good ones.

HOW TO TASTE & DRINK WINE?
Important when you drink wine:
- Do not put too much in your glass
- Drink small sips, never in one shot

HOW TO ASSOCIATE A WINE AND A DISH?
For each dish, it’s wine. Here, some recommendations of good associations.

Some people are experts and can give you the brand, the year of the wine that will fit the best with your dish, they are called “sommelier”.
